The town’s mystery lotto winner has been found after Saturday’s draw.
He held one of the six division one winning entries taking home $3.3 million.
The entry was unregistered so officials couldn’t contact him and had to wait for the man to come forward.
When notified he said it wasn’t the first time he had claimed the top prize.
“I’ve won division one before, but it was shared other people in a syndicate. We won $40,000 each, but $3.3 million is next level,” he said.
“I haven’t told anyone about this win. I plan on keeping it on the down-low.
“It’s very exciting. I don’t own a house, but now I’ll be able to buy one!
“I’ll have to find a way to celebrate the win.”
The winning entry was purchased at Chippindalls Newsagency, 116 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg.
Chippindalls Newsagency owner Peter Heaps said it was exciting to have sold the winning ticket.
“It was great news to hear that we had sold a division one prize in Saturday Gold Lotto. It’s really exciting news, and we’re all feeling on cloud nine,” he said.
“We’ve been telling as many of our customers as we can that we’ve sold a division one winning entry. I think our customers will want to know that we sold a division one winning entry and I’m sure it will make them happy.
“To be honest, it has been a while since we sold a division one winning ticket. We’ve sold two or three in the last 20 years, so we’re really pleased to add another to the tally.
“Congratulations to the winner. Enjoy it all!”
